In Greece one has the desire to bathe in the sky.
You want to rid yourself of your clothes, take a running leap and vault into the blue.
You want to float in the air like an angel or lie in the grass rigid and enjoy the cataleptic trance.
Stone and sky, they marry here.
It is the perpetual dawn of man’s awakening

About us

Travel with joy,
travel with us

My name is Sara, I am Italian but at one point I changed completely my life and now I live in Crete.

Crete is more than a location on the map; it’s a symphony of experiences intertwining between the past and the present.

I am lucky because in my life in Crete I immerse myself completely in local life and culture, discovering hidden treasures and embracing the joy of belonging to this unique community.

For this reason I decided to start to write this blog. I am grateful for the place I live now and I want to share what I learnt and learn every day about Crete and help others to discover aspects that are for travelers, not tourists.

But I am not alone in this. Every single thing I write comes from the experiences and adventures that I live with Dimitris, who is Cretan, and with the friends that I have met thanks to this special immersion in Cretan Life.

Trust that when some informative pages feature affiliate links that can contribute to the funding of the blog, or when I refer to the experiences with our private boat trips and travel experiences and proposals as owners of a holiday home, this will be clearly indicated.

When I speak about books there might be sometimes an affiliate link, even if I prefer to create pages with book reviews and put affiliate links only there. When I suggest travel apps usually I choose them because I really verified they might be useful for some kinds of travelers.

Usually I also make researches and the topics I decide to write about; you will find a list of the sources in the articles, in case I refer to external sources texts, websites, books and so on.
