My name is Sara, I am Italian but at one point I changed completely my life and now I live in Crete.
Crete is more than a location on the map; it’s a symphony of experiences intertwining between the past and the present.
I am lucky because in my life in Crete, thanks to Dimitris I immerse myself completely in local life and culture, discovering hidden treasures and embracing the joy of belonging to this unique community.
For this reason I decided to start to write this blog. I am grateful for the place I live now and I want to share what I learnt and learn every day about Crete and help others to discover aspects that are for travelers, not tourists.
But I am not alone in this. Every single thing I write comes from the experiences and adventures that I live with Dimitris, who is Cretan, and with the friends that I have met thanks to this special immersion in Cretan Life.
Trust that when some informative pages feature affiliate links that can contribute to the funding of the blog, or when I refer to the experiences with our private boat trips and travel experiences and proposals as owners of a holiday home, this will be clearly indicated.
When I speak about books there might be sometimes an affiliate link, even if I prefer to create pages with book reviews and put affiliate links only there. When I suggest travel apps usually I choose them because I really verified they might be useful for some kinds of travelers.
Usually I also make researches and the topics I decide to write about; you will find a list of the sources in the articles, in case I refer to external sources texts, websites, books and so on.
